SCENT: I can’t place the exact scent but it leans tropical. I’m a MLBB lipstick junkie and it’s very similar to everything I have. Applied over my bare lips it doesn’t change their color at all, or is a MLBB shade. This is easily the best feeling product I’ve ever applied, ever.ĬOLOR: I got Fu$$y, which seems to be a pretty basic nude-y pink shade. Honestly, I’m not a gloss expert but my lips are as dry as the Sahara, and I’m super picky about how lip products feel. It stays put on my lips and so far hasn’t smeared. It isn’t sticky, and doesn’t feel runny, either. It feels like an extra moisturizing lip balm, and I’ll be honest I’m having to fight myself to stop using it instead of my balm because it’s $18. VISCOSITY AND WEAR: This shit is like fucking butter. Looking at my lips the individual glitter particles are indistinguishable, so instead of looking like I have sparkly lips, they just look extra glossy and shiny. GLITTER: Fu$$y is glittery, but it’s super fine and is the ideal scenario IMO. It was a little sticky and not even all that glossy, and the colors were meh.
I’m not much of a gloss person, but I have tried Smashbox’s gloss which I was eh about. I’ve been wearing matte liquid lipsticks for a while but after a few hours I always wish they weren’t so matte. But the tradeoff is how much longer it lasts compared to other glosses I have that are not as viscous with more sip.ĬONTAINER AND APPLICATOR: Squeeze tube? Tube with doe-foot applicator? Brush? Weird Buxom plastic wand? Chunky tube? - Flawless is in a chunkier, shorter tube. STICKY, LONG-LASTING: Flawless is sticky. The less sticky, the shorter the wear-time. The stickier the gloss, the longer it lasts. VISCOSITY AND WEAR-TIME: I believe these two variables to be very strongly correlated. The glitter is the main factor, making this a great topper gloss. On the lips, it pretty much counts as clear. At an angle, it looks like pink/lavender unicorn pearlescent glitter.ĬOLOR: Flawless is a glitter gloss with a sheer warm light baby pink. Looking straight on, it is a yellow-green gold. the color of the glitters is the heart of this gloss. **COLOR**: Violet or pink glitter? Green-gold, true yellow gold, white-pearlescent gold? Opalescent glitters? Blue glitters? Personally, I find this is the most important characteristic of glitter, especially if the glitter gloss is super-saturated. (For reference, CP glosses feel gritty to me.) PARTICLE SIZE: Are the glitters super fine? Are the glitters a bit chunkier, making the gloss feel a bit gritty? - The glitters are super fine. If I don't blend out the gloss, it could pull off being a metallic gold. Flawless is PACKED with glitter to the point where it could pull off being metallic depending on application.ĬONCENTRATION: How saturated is your glitter gloss? Just a touch? Or super-saturated with glitter? - Flawless is super-saturated with glitter.
